We can’t believe it’s already July! While many of the market are looking forward to their summer holidays, we’re turning our attention to our upcoming fundraising challenges and the training we suddenly only have two months to fit in.
This year, our UK offices at Tokio Marine HCC are proudly supporting St Mungo’s, Loros, Velindre Cancer Centre and Body & Soul charities. In September, we are running and taking part in two milestone events to raise money for these charities. Under the Tokio Marine Group, we aim to continuously contribute to the creation of a safe, secure and sustainable future. We are constantly aspiring to create new fundraising initiatives that will assist in reaching our corporate vision while engaging our staff and wider insurance community.
Our forthcoming events are just a couple of examples of our efforts geared towards supporting a better future for society. We take pride in how we fundraise and work with our partner charities and we can’t wait to launch our breakthrough events for 2017.
Tokio Marine HCC 100 at the Thames Path Challenge 9 – 10 September 2017
We have staff, family and friends walking, jogging or running 25km, 50km or 100km at The Thames Path Challenge. Last year, Tokio Marine HCC participated and we had 12 employees who completed the full 100km challenge - we hope that we have some other brave competitors again this year! There will be over 3,000 challengers taking part from across the country, and Tokio Marine HCC can’t wait to be part of such a big fundraising experience.
Tokio Marine HCC: 10,000 26 September 2017
Tokio Marine HCC is running a charity Spinnathon on Tuesday 26 September, the TMHCC: 10,000. Across the globe, we have lots of our offices taking part in our exciting fundraising event.
In the UK our Bridgend, Leicester and London offices are aiming to cycle 10,000km which is the approximate distance between London and Tokyo. The challenge will extend to our brokers, friends and family too! The event in London will run in conjunction with Lord Mayor’s City Giving Day, where last year 211 city based firms participated and over £300,000 was raised for the Lord Mayor’s Appeal. We are delighted that Cyclebeat spin studios, in the heart of the city, will be hosting this event. If you are interested in helping us reach our distance goal and most importantly raise money for our partner charities, please contact Hannah Powell, Marketing and Communications Officer: firstname.lastname@example.org
