Tokio Marine HCC International appoints new Head of Legal & Compliance for its European Operations

London, 17 July 2023:

Tokio Marine HCC International (TMHCCI) has appointed a new Head of Legal & Compliance for its European operations, Tokio Marine Europe (TME), as it moves to enhance its network of compliance expertise across the company. 

 

 

Sandy Mavrommati has joined from Hiscox where she was previously Head of Compliance for Europe. In her new role, she will be

 responsible for leading the growing compliance team across Europe.

 

Her key responsibilities will be to drive the business’ understanding of regulatory risk, establish control frameworks across business units, monitor and communicate local and European regulatory change and establish appropriate control frameworks in response.

 

Sandy brings nearly 20 years’ experience in compliance and regulatory roles in both the insurance and banking sectors, having worked at AXA, Credit Suisse and Piraeus Bank, among others.

 

Commenting on the appointment, Vanesa Herrero, Chief Executive Officer - TME, said: “We operate in an increasingly dynamic and complex business environment which is necessarily matched by the need to comply with increasing regulation, both in volume and reach.”

Sandy’s appointment is subject to approval by the Commissariat aux Assurances, the Luxembourg regulator.

Tokio Marine HCC International nomme une nouvelle Head of Legal & Compliance pour sa filiale européenne

Tokio Marine HCC International (TMHCCI) a nommé une nouvelle Head of Legal & Compliance pour sa filiale européenne, Tokio Marine Europe (TME), afin de renforcer son réseau d’expertise en matière de compliance au sein de la société. 

Sandy Mavrommati vient de Hiscox, où elle était auparavant Head of Compliance pour l’Europe. Dans ses nouvelles fonctions, elle sera chargée de diriger l’équipe de la compliance en pleine expansion dans toute l’Europe. 

Ses principales responsabilités consisteront à favoriser la compréhension du risque réglementaire par l’entreprise, à établir des cadres de contrôle dans les business units, à suivre et à communiquer les changements réglementaires locaux et européens et à mettre en place des cadres de contrôle appropriés en réponse à ces changements.

Sandy dispose de près de 20 ans d’expérience dans le domaine de la compliance et de la réglementation dans les secteurs de l’assurance et de la banque. Elle a notamment travaillé pour AXA, Credit Suisse et la Banque du Pirée.
