Whilst Professional Indemnity (PI) policies are structured on a ‘claims made’ basis, policyholders are required to inform their insurer about a situation which could lead to a claim. Despite this, there is some debate amongst brokers, policyholders and insurers about when to notify and what is considered applicable.
