Looking Back at BIBA 2026

Taking the Time to Connect

Last week, the insurance market once again descended on Manchester for the British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) Conference 2026, Europe’s largest insurance broking event. With close to 10,000 professionals and more than 200 exhibitors in attendance, this year’s conference provided an important opportunity for the industry to reconnect, exchange ideas and look ahead to the future of insurance.

The theme for this year’s conference, “Time: To”, encouraged the market to reflect on the importance of taking the time to innovate, collaborate and strengthen relationships across the industry. It was a message that resonated strongly throughout the week and closely aligns with Tokio Marine HCC International’s approach to business.

Ahead of the conference, TMHCCI was pleased to host clients, partners and industry peers for a pre-event gathering at Ocasa in Manchester.

Set in the heart of the city, the evening brought together familiar faces and new connections in a vibrant and relaxed setting. Over signature Mediterranean snacks and drinks, attendees shared insights on the market, discussed emerging opportunities and strengthened relationships across the industry.

The event served as a reminder of the value of taking time to connect face-to-face. In an industry built on trust, collaboration and long-term partnership, those conversations continue to matter.

We would like to thank everyone who joined us and helped make the evening such a success.

The conversations continued throughout the BIBA, where delegates explored the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of the insurance market. From evolving client expectations and emerging risks to technological advancement and market resilience, the conference highlighted the importance of collaboration in navigating an increasingly complex landscape.

Across the conference, our teams from Professional Risks, Delegated Property, Financial Lines and Trade Credit were joined by colleagues from our Cyber & Professional Lines Group in the United States. Throughout the event, discussions centred on supporting brokers and clients with specialist expertise, responsive underwriting and long-term partnership.

BIBA remains one of the most important opportunities in the insurance calendar to bring the market together. Whether discussing trading conditions, a specific risk or a new proposition, the event once again demonstrated the value of taking the time to listen, collaborate and build relationships.

Thank you to everyone who visited us at stand B30. We look forward to continuing the conversations in the months ahead.
