2017 – a successful year of support and sport

Throughout 2017 our TMHCC offices across Europe carried out various successful and exciting fundraising initiatives, including the TMHCC: 10,000 which saw participants from our London, Barcelona and regional UK offices all taking part in a static cycle to reach the 10,000km distance goal (representing London to Japan). The event raised over £60,000 for our 2017 partner charities (Body & Soul, LOROS, St Mungo’s and Velindre Cancer Centre) and a total distance of 9137.72km was cycled!

Our Credit and Surety division proudly hosted the 2017 Trade Credit, Bond & Political Risk Insurance Dinner on 9 November which saw over 450 key underwriters and brokers attend to raise over £40,000 for LOROS and St Mungo’s. The evening was a great success and enjoyed by many.

Other fundraising activities consisted of an Olympic Games style event, outreach sessions, marathon events, dress down days, and bake offs! All of the International offices take great pride in the work that they do for our partner charities and intend on continuing to develop our fundraising efforts even more.

2018 – new partner plans

In 2018, we will be welcoming a new partner charity which will be predominantly supported by our Leicester office, Rainbows Hospice. We are excited to partner with Rainbows Hospice, who give life-limited children and their families care and support at a time when they need it the most. We are looking forward to continuing our partnership with LOROS, St Mungo’s and Body & Soul during the year.

Throughout the UK, offices will be kicking off the fundraising schedule by supporting St Mungo’s on their Woolly Hat Day initiative on the 26 January. We are hoping that lots of staff will be wearing their winter woollies and making donations to help end homelessness and change someone’s life.

Our company ethos is to “To Be a Good Company” and we aim to support this message via our CSR initiatives across the group. This is a collective effort and by working with our charity partners we are making significant steps to develop and maintain this companywide ethos. We aim to contribute to making the world safe, secure and sustainable. Our goal is for all our employees to be self-motivated and to continually act with integrity and compassion, using their unique ideas to provide stakeholders with added value.
