The Fundamentals of PI Insurance

At the end of June, we hosted our fourth virtual broker roadshow, led by our specialist panel consisting of James Stretton, Underwriter and Helen Spencer, Development Underwriter, from our Professional Risks team.

This session was focused on helping brokers who are new to PI, want a refresher on the basics, or simply want to broaden their understanding of the PI Insurance market.

Throughout the webinar, James and Helen shared their insights on various topics, including:

• How PI cover works;
• Why professionals purchase PI;
• Underwriting PI cover;
• Coverage and indemnity limits; and
• Retroactive Dates.
