We are thrilled to share that Susan Keryk and Nagawa Kabanda have been named Social Mobility Champions of the Year at the Insurance Post Diversity & Inclusion Awards! This incredible recognition celebrates their tireless efforts to make the insurance industry more inclusive and accessible to all.
Through the launch of the Tokio Marine HCC International (TMHCCI) Social Mobility Programme, Susan and Nagawa have created pathways for young people from underrepresented and lower socio-economic backgrounds to explore careers in insurance. The initiative, which includes a four-week paid internship for Year 11 students and a school outreach programme, is already transforming how future generations see opportunity in our industry.

At the awards, it was wonderful to be surrounded by key supporters of the TMHCCI Social Mobility Programme, including Des Burke, executive sponsor of the programme, Shani Clarke from Bridging the Gap Consultancy, and the dedicated managers and mentors involved in the initiative.

We are also proud to have been Highly Commended in the Staff Empowerment Award category, a testament to our collective commitment to fostering an environment where everyone can belong, thrive and grow.
A huge congratulations to Susan, Nagawa, and everyone at TMHCCI involved in driving our diversity and inclusion efforts forward. Together, we are shaping a more equitable future one opportunity at a time.
