At Tokio Marine HCC International (TMHCCI), we recognise the wider impact we can have to help our communities thrive with confidence. Through our Charity Programme, we supported over 50 charities in 2025 with fundraising and volunteering initiatives designed to create meaningful, lasting impact.
One of our flagship initiatives, Pick a Project, gives our nine UK charity partners the opportunity to secure grant funding to develop and expand innovative projects that can drive long term change.
In November 2025, Dementia UK was selected by TMHCCI employees for its Deaf and Hard of Hearing Admiral Nurse Service. This project focuses on making British Sign Language (BSL) interpretation available through Dementia UK’s Helpline and virtual clinic appointments.
An estimated 1.2 million people in the UK have hearing loss severe enough to prevent them from hearing most conversational speech. Due to limited funding, many of them face barriers to accessing dementia care and specialist support. This initiative enables Dementia UK to provide accessible, on-demand support for d/Deaf and hard-of-hearing people with complex needs who require expert advice and guidance.
We are proud to see this service go live, expanding access to vital dementia support for the d/Deaf and hard-of-hearing community. It can be accessed by clicking on the link here.
